“O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” — Psalm 34:8
God's goodness isn't something we're simply meant to hear about; it's something we're invited to experience for ourselves. In Psalm 34:8, David encourages us to taste and see that the Lord is good. Just as we cannot know the sweetness of fruit without tasting it, we cannot fully understand the goodness of God without drawing near to Him. His goodness is found in the answered prayers, the unexpected blessings, and even the difficult seasons when His faithfulness carries us through. We don't have to understand everything He is doing to trust that He is good. The more we seek Him, the more we begin to recognize His hand in the ordinary moments of our lives.
Taste and see for yourself, because a life spent walking with Jesus is the sweetest gift of all.
